late night piecing

Last night, while Brian was playing basketball with the guys from church, I had a little fun with fabric. I decided to take a crack at my first Log Cabin square. Here's the finished square (please ignore the water stained ironing board cover and bad photography). I just picked a bunch of my favorite fabrics. There's really no rhyme or reason except that I like it!

That was so much fun that I decided to venture off on my own and started piecing together some scraps from another project. This is what I ended up with. I'm not sure what the final outcome will be. I'm thinking about making a really minimalist quilt with mostly white and these vibrant striped.

Hey guys! Just thought I'd touch base and see if you guys wanted to try and get together at our place in the next couple weeks? Saturday afternoons work great for us or even some early evenings work well (usually Wednesday or Friday) - but thought it would be fun for the 3 ET AWAA families in the Tulsa area to meet up! Email us at caleb@bigworld.org to let us know or give me a call at 851-7815

Hey Beth--I'm so happy to tell you that you won the quilt giveaway on my blog! Drop me a note with your address. If you have the baby's name yet I'd love to make a special label for the quilt.
yay for you! :-)
